Sziget Boat Transfer
Hop on the Sziget boat and arrive to The Island of Freedom in a fancy way! From Jászai Mari Square to Sziget and back (duration appx. 22-26 mins). Please note that tickets are valid only for one way, can be bought at the kiosk onsite too. Having a Sziget CityPass by Budapest Card? Sziget - Airport Shuttle
You can travel without purchasing a ticket on special Sziget shuttles that take you from Liszt Ferenc Airport to the entrance of the festival. You can board the special Sziget shuttle with a Sziget CityPass by Budapest Card purchased at the airport, or with a valid voucher. Please note that Sziget- Airport shuttles are in service during the festival only. Check the timetable by clicking here.
By taxi
You can take a taxi from the airport (there is an official taxi spot right at the exit on the ground floor), the journey to Sziget Festival takes around 45 minutes.

By public transport
From the Airport
Take 100E towards Deák Ferenc tér M (City centre) - price is 2200 HUF, then change at Deák Ferenc tér to Metro 2 (M2) to Batthyány tér. Change to HÉV (H5) to Filatorigát, where our team will be waiting for you and guide you to the Festival entrance. It takes about 1 and a half hour. To reach Sziget Festival, please get off the train at Filatorigát station, as H-bridge is closed for pedestrians and cyclists.
Grab a Budapest Card and get to Sziget (and back to the Airport when leaving) with a direct Bus Shuttle! Check the Timetable here.
From Nyugati Railway Station
Take tram 4 or 6 in the direction of Széll Kálmán tér, then change at Margit Híd Budai Hídfő to HÉV (H5) to Filatorigát, where our team will be waiting for you and guide you to the Festival entrance. It takes about 35 mins.
From Keleti Railway Station
Take Metro 2 in the direction of Déli Pályaudvar, then change at Batthyány tér to HÉV (H5) to Filatorigát, where our team will be waiting for you and guide you to the Festival entrance. It takes about 45 mins.
From Déli Railway Station
Take Metro 2 in the direction of Őrs Vezér Tere, then change at Batthyány tér to HÉV (H5) to Filatorigát, where our team will be waiting for you and guide you to the Festival entrance. It takes about 40 mins.
From Népliget International Bus Station
Take Tram 1 in the direction of Bécsi út and change at Árpád Híd Budai Hídfő to HÉV (H5) to Filatorigát, where our team will be waiting for you and guide you to the Festival entrance. It takes about 1 hr.
Bike
By bike
Bike to Sziget and enjoy free bike storage, a quick repair facility, and rental services! You can get to the festival on the dedicated bicycle road, and use the dedicated bycicle storage at K Bridge as H-bridge is closed for pedestrians and cyclists.).
